Aims and Scope

Aims

Al-Mujaddid: Journal of Religious Studies aims to become a scholarly platform for the development of integrative, interdisciplinary, and contextual Islamic studies that respond to the dynamics of contemporary society. The journal facilitates the publication of research findings, conceptual studies, literature reviews, and academic reflections that examine social phenomena, education, and Islamic economics from the perspective of religious values, both theoretically and practically.

Specifically, the journal seeks to:

  1. Develop ideas and theories in the field of Islamic religious studies that are relevant to contemporary developments.
  2. Analyze various social phenomena through the lens of religious values and Islamic ethics.
  3. Encourage innovation and the strengthening of Islamic education in addressing the challenges of the digital era, globalization, and social transformation.
  4. Explore the development of Islamic economics and community empowerment based on the principles of justice, public welfare (maslahah), and sustainability.
  5. Provide a forum for academic dialogue between normative religious studies and the empirical realities of social life.
