Manuscript requirements

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts submitted to AL-Mujaddid: Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Agama must meet the following requirements:

Originality. The manuscript must be an original contribution and must not be under consideration by another publication.

Article type. The journal accepts research-based articles and book reviews within the journal's focus and scope.

Abstract and keywords. Include an abstract of 200-250 words and at least three keywords describing the manuscript's main points.

Author details. State the article title, author name(s), institutional affiliation, and email address(es).

Language. Manuscripts may be written in Bahasa Indonesia or English. Manuscripts in Bahasa Indonesia or Arabic must also provide the title, abstract, keywords, and references in English.

Format. Use Times New Roman, 12 pt, single spacing, and 2.5 cm margins. Submit an OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect file.

Length. Articles must contain at least 6,000 words, excluding the abstract, references, tables, and figures.

References. Cite references in the body text using APA 6th style. Authors are strongly encouraged to use a reference manager such as Zotero or Mendeley.

Similarity check: 30%
The manuscript similarity threshold is 30%.

Before submitting

Submission Preparation Checklist

Please confirm compliance with each item below. Submissions that do not follow these requirements may be returned to the author.

  1. The submission has not been previously published and is not under consideration by another journal, unless an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor.
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect format.
  3. URLs for references have been provided where available.
  4. The text is single-spaced, uses a 12-point font, uses italics rather than underlining except for URLs, and places tables and figures at the appropriate points in the text.
  5. The manuscript follows the stylistic and bibliographic requirements in the Author Guidelines.
  6. For peer-reviewed sections, the instructions for ensuring a blind review have been followed.
